Clan Uragiri vs Gnarlhorn's Posse
Clan Uragiri:
Warlord Akechi - Warlitter
Chieftain Hoskaw - BSB, shield, dragonhelm
15 Stormvermin - command
25 Skavenslaves
Rat Dart (5 giant rats + packmaster)
5 Gutter Runners - poisoned attacks, slings
(Gutter Runners out of picture)
Gnarlhorn's Posse:
Wargor (Gnarlhorn?) - Talisman of 4+ ward, great weapon, heavy armour,
25 Gors - additional hand weapon
11 Ungor - hw, shield,
Tuskgor Chariot
Razorgor
The battle:
4x4 table, battle lines.
Deployment:
Skaven finished first and got +1. At roll-off Beasts rolled 6. Skaven 5+1. Reroll gave start to Skaven.
Skaven 1:
Gutter Runners ran around the tower and shot the Chariot for 1 wound.
Beastmen 2:
Beastmen moved during their first turn. Maybe a couple of failed very long charges. Skaven second turn was a slight move forward, while Gutter Runners shot the Chariot for another 2 wounds. One left. Beastmen turn 2 the Razorgor charged the Stormvermin.
Further Beastmen moves. Chariot wanted to avoid charging the Rat Dart in front, and moved further up. Gors charge Rat Dart.
Warlord and Chieftain kill the Razorgor. Stormvermin are bored. Gors and Rat Dart fail all wound rolls. Wargor hits three and rolls two 1s to wound. Giant rats lose combat by 5, but stick due to General's Ld. I did make a mistake here, as I counted his ranks with the Ld. Though, I did have a BSB nearby too the dart should have fled. Sorry, Gnarlhorn!
Skaven 3:
It did flee after combat in my turn 3. Even with two Gors killed by rats I don't think this mistake really mattered to the battle. The Gors would still pursue to where they got. Maybe I'd have set up a better response with the slaves and Stormvermin, but the Beastmen could not have done anything different.
The Gutter Runners hit the Chariot for 4 wounds (3 poison). And it saved all four.
Beastmen 3:
Gors and Chariot charge the Slaves. Ungors charge Stormvermin.
Slaves are dying fast. They explode and kill one Gor and one Ungor.
Chariot overrun into the Stormvermin. Gors reform.
Impact hits kill a couple of Stormvermin. The Warlord takes the remaining wound off the Chariot. Chieftain, Stormvermin and Warlitter mostly fluff their attacks against the Ungor. The Ungor lose combat by 4 to 6. They do not break, with help from General's Ld.
Skaven 4:
Gutter Runners kill 5 Gor. 4 with poison. The Stormvermin get their act together and kill enough Ungor to break them and run them down. The pursuit takes them into the Gor. The packmaster still flee the scene, needing snake eyes.
Beastmen 4:
The Wargor challenges. The Fangleader answers and is killed. Most of the Gor who are in contact with my unit can only strike on the Warlord or the Chieftain. They do not succeed, and the Gor lose combat by 2 to 9.
They break and run 7 inches. I pursue 6.
Skaven 5:
I charge and hit them. The lone packmaster runs off the board. I win 600-73.
